Essiac Tea (cancer) 4oz
Essiac Tea (cancer) 4oz
Essiac tea is a blend of different herbs, including burdock root, slippery elm, sheep sorrel and Indian rhubarb. In addition to its purported anticancer properties, Essiac tea is also believed to enhance detoxification, boost immune function and reduce inflammation.
Brewing Instructions:
1. Measure out 1 teaspoon of the Essiac tea blend.
2. Place the tea in a saucepan and add 2 cups (16 oz) of cold water.
3. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, keeping the saucepan covered.
4. Remove from heat and let the tea steep for an additional 20 minutes, keeping the saucepan covered.
5. Strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the herb pieces.
Dosage:
Aggressive Dose:
- 9 oz per day, taken as 3 separate 3 oz doses
Aggressive PLUS Dose:
- 6 oz, 3 times per day
Maintenance Dose:
- 6 oz per day, taken as 2 separate 3 oz doses
Generally, the dosage should be adjusted based on factors like:
- Seriousness of your health condition
- Tolerance for the taste of the tea
- Your body weight
All doses should be taken on an empty stomach, 2 hours before and 1 hour after eating, for best absorption.
Commit to the aggressive dose for at least 6 months before evaluating the benefits. Some people notice a difference quickly, while others may take up to 6 months.
Essiac tea can be taken alongside traditional cancer treatments, but be aware that chemo and radiation may reduce the effectiveness. You may want to increase the dose to 18 oz per day (3 doses of 6 oz) to compensate.
Remember to store any remaining brewed tea in the refrigerator and consume within 3 weeks, as there are no preservatives.
